Skin dryness occurs when the water content of the stratum corneum is sub-optimal. The skin thickens and gets rough when the skin is very dry and dead cells accumulate. Urea accelerates skin cell elimination and clears dead skin build-up which allows the penetration of actives and removal of flakes. In addition, panthenol and botanical oils and butters contribute to the glide-on texture.
