1. Preparation
• Fill your sink with cool water or lay down a soft towel to cushion the dentures in case you accidentally drop them.• Apply mild soap, liquid soap, or a specialized denture cleaning paste to the brush. Avoid standard toothpaste, as its abrasives can scratch the acrylic surface.
2. Brushing Technique
• Broad Surfaces: Use the large, flat-bristled head of the Wisdom Denture Brush to sweep across the outer and biting surfaces of the prosthetic teeth and the denture base plate.• Grooves and Detail Work: Switch to the smaller, tapered head on the opposite side to clean narrow crevices, internal fitting surfaces, around individual artificial teeth, and near metal clasps.• Inner Surface: Turn the denture over and clean the inner surface that rests against your gums using gentle, steady strokes.
3. Soaking and Rinsing
• Rinse the denture thoroughly with cool or warm water (never hot water, which can warp the acrylic).• Soak the dentures in an effervescent denture cleaning solution (such as SECURE Denture Tablets) as recommended by the manufacturer to kill remaining bacteria.• Give the dentures a final brush and rinse with cool water after soaking before putting them back in your mouth or storing them.
